Aircraft engine fuel controls require precision bellows for pressure and temperature sensing. These assemblies must tolerate the harsh engine environment, have long cycle life, and provide a precise and repeatable response to changes in pressure or temperature.
Metal Bellows can produce sensors using welded metal bellows in combination with an LVDT for sensing pressure. This unique design allows for high accuracy over a wide range of temperatures from -65F to 450F and pressures to 500 PSID. This same technology may be used for flow sensing applications as well. These highly reliable units have a demonstrated reliability of over 2 million hours MTBF.
Ketema has the capability to manufacture a variety of hydraulic and fuel system sensors, ranging from military refuelling flowmeters, to totalizers and indicator conditioners. Calorstat designs and manufactures a wide range of bellows pressure sensing assemblies, which are built into controls monitoring delivery of fuel, gases including oxygen, lubricants for many aerospace and industrial applications.
